701 Combined Endovascular and Percutaneous Treatment of Traumatic Pseudoaneurysm of Profunda Femoris Artery: A Case Report

Abstract Pseudoaneurysms of the profunda femoris artery are rare complications femoral fractures, seen especially after orthopaedic interventions for same. We present a case an 89-year-old Caucasian male with left neck femur fracture, repaired dynamic hip screw. He presented to us month later painful swollen thigh and deep vein thrombosis. The patient underwent arterial duplex CT angiogram scans was found have pseudoaneurysm in his artery, measuring 3x3x4.5cm. This treated balloon angioplasty stenting. However, stent surveillance scan, later, showed that largely thrombosed patent core being fed by communicating vessel from superficial artery. A subsequent no obvious feeding vessel. then percutaneous injection thrombin. Exclusion confirmed follow-up scan. It is essential treat all vessels pseudoaneurysms presence rich collateral supply. Profunda false aneurysms can thus be entirely endovascular/percutaneous methods so, potentially avoid open surgery.
